Christina Aguilera silences haters as Ozempic rumors swirl

Christine Aguilera starts the new year with an important message.

On Tuesday, the Grammy Award winner posted a video montage on his Instagram which featured various images of herself throughout the year and a slew of comments from online haters questioning her physical appearance after Ozempic rumors to use. In the caption, Aguilera reminded her 10 million followers that while judgments are inevitable, “no one deserves an explanation.”

“This year, do something a little different. It reminds everyone that you are your OWN STORYTELLER in your OWN LIFE,” she wrote. “No one else can tell you who you are. No one deserves an explanation. I am evolved enough to know that nothing is easy and no one is perfect.”

“Everyone will judge you. It doesn’t matter WHAT you do,” she continued. “And/or what we don’t do. Acceptance comes first from self-acceptance. And the difficult journey it sometimes takes to get there. I celebrate everyone who takes the time to make a step in front of each other every day in order to build the next version of themselves for the better By allowing yourself grace, patience and respect.

Although Aguilera’s appearance sparked debate online about whether she touched Ozempic, the “Beautiful” singer did not directly respond to the speculation.

Ozempic, which is a semaglutide injection, was initially approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, but the drug is increasingly being prescribed off-label for weight loss, with several other similar medicines.

In August, the pop singer – who is mum to Max, 16, and Summer, 10 – opened up about the pressures she faced to look a certain way throughout her career.

“When you’re a teenager, your body is very different from when you’re 20,” she says. says Glamor. “I started filling, and then it was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, it’s getting thicker.’ Then I met people in the industry: “They liked your body and how you were a skinny teenager.”

“I’ve reached a maturity now where I don’t care what your opinion is,” she added. “I’m not going to accept it. It must be your responsibility to take your place. Other people’s opinions of me are none of my business.”

In May 2021, Aguilera said Health Review how these certain pressures affected her self-esteem as a young woman.

“I would never want to relive my 20s — you’re so in your head and finding your confidence,” Aguilera said. “As you get older, you stop comparing yourself to others and start appreciating and owning your own body.”

“Accepting yourself is what beauty really is,” she added. “Even though I also love being a glamor girl and dressing up for the camera, when it all comes together, that’s ultimately what’s most rewarding: being able to feel really good about whoever looks at you in the mirror, because You own us everything.”
