A 39-year-old suspect was charged with second-degree murder the same day after a homicide in a waterfront neighborhood in West Vancouver.
THE West Vancouver Police The department says officers responded to a wellness check after 1 a.m. Dec. 13 in the Ambleside District.
Police said they found a deceased woman with suspicious injuries upon arrival and a suspect was arrested at the scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team investigated the homicide in collaboration with the West Vancouver Police Service and British Columbia Coroners Services.
The British Columbia Prosecution Service laid a charge of second-degree murder later the day following the investigation.
Cpl. Esther Tupper of IHIT wrote in a statement that police believe this was a tragic incident of domestic violence, and investigators believe it was an isolated incident because the parties knew each other. .
West Vancouver police said no further details would be released as the matter is now before the courts.
