Carmen Conceptcion joined VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System as associate director of patient care services and chief nurse on May 5, 2025.
Previously, she was an associate director of patient care services and executive nurse of the health system VA San Diego from August 2016 to May 2025. During this period, she was also temporarily adviser nursing from the Deputy Health Subsecretaire for care for integrated veterans.
She also held various positions in the health care system VA Boston, including a associate chief of the community of community life / spinal cord; Chief, sterile treatment service; Nurse manager for the intensive heart care unit; and Nurse interim director of the medical / surgical telemetry district.
Ms. Concepcion focuses on patient care and has proven himself to provide coherent results by aligning the departments on organizational initiatives.

Ms. Conceptcion obtained a double mastery in nursing and health administration of the University of Phoenix in 2013 and a baccalaureate in nursing sciences at Emmanuel College in 2006.
