The Hall of Famer and 10 times NBA All-Star start a studio analyst’s role in October when the NBA returns to NBC and would make its debut on Peacock
Stamford, conn. – May 3, 2025 – Carmelo AnthonyAn All-Star and an entrepreneur of the NBA 10 times which was elected to the class of the 2025 Basketball Temple of basketball, will join NBC Sports as a studio analyst when the NBA returns to NBC and will make its debut on Peacock in October. The announcement was made earlier during the day when Anthony was interviewed by Ahmed Fareed In Churchill Downs during the coverage of the NBC Sports Kentucky derby.
Anthony played 19 seasons in the NBA, spending most of his time with the Denver Nuggets (2003-2011) and New York Knicks (2011-2017). His illustrious career saw him winning countless distinctions and achievements, including his election at the Naismith basketball renowned temple earlier this year. He will be registered in September. Anthony was also an All-Star NBA 10 times; A selection of six times all-nba; won the NBA 2013 score title and finished third in the NBA MVP vote; was selected in the NBA 75th Birthday team; Attach the Knicks and Madison Square Garden rating record with 62 points against the Charlotte Bobcats in 2014; and is currently 10th On the NBA standard list of all time with 28,289 points. He also spent time with Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers.

When Anthony joined NBC Sports in October for the start of the NBA 2025-26 season, he should be one or more nights a week during the playoffs.

Anthony also enjoyed an international career decorated, winning three Olympic gold medals in Beijing, London and Rio – the first man to do so. He also won the bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, making him the first man to participate in four Basketball Olympic tournaments. At the end of his basketball career in the United States after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Anthony was the Olympic leader of all time in games, points and rebounds. He still has the American record for most of the points scored in an Olympic basketball match: a 37-point explosion in a dominant victory of the American team against Nigeria at the London 2012 Olympic Games, overthrowing 10 three points in just 14 minutes of play.
Pitch of first round (third in the general classification) by the Nuggets in 2003, Anthony played at college at the University of Syracuse, where, in his only college season, he led the Orange to the first NCAA championship of the School while being named the most exceptional player of the NCAA Final Four. All-American selection from second team and first year of NCAA year this season, Anthony’s No. 15 was withdrawn by Syracuse in 2013.

In July 2024, Nbcuniversal and the NBA announced an 11-year agreement to present the basketball matches of the NBA and WNBA regular season on many platforms from the 2025-26 season. Peacock will be exclusive national matches on Monday evening live while NBC / PEACOCK will present the national coverage of regional doublesheaders on Tuesday evening.
