No one was injured but it was a surprising scene for hundreds of people attending a Sun circus show at Pacific Colosseum Thursday evening.
Vancouver police say that just after 8 p.m., a car was driven in the entrance doors to the arena, sending glass and flying debris.
The rapid evolution car crashed into the Colosseum’s hall at the start of the intermission for the show, but the police said that thanks to a concrete pillar in the manner, the car did not exceed the doors.
The mayor of Vancouver, Ken Sim, said in an article on X that he was incredibly grateful that no one was injured and thanked the police for having quickly arrested a suspect.

A 30 -year -old man was apprehended under the mental health law and taken to the hospital, police announced.
Vancouver police said the suspect was the subject of a 911 earlier in the day of a biblical study group.

Sgt. Steve Addison says that the man would have acted irregularly to the church, but he left before the officers met him.
Addison says that the 30 -year -old Vancouver man had no prior interaction with local authorities for criminal or mental health reasons.
Addison says that man is held under the Mental Health Act and it is believed that he was suffering from an “important” crisis when the kick occurred.
Police do not identify it because they were not criminally charged.
A witness told Global News that the incident looked like a large explosion.
“I thought it was part of the show, then I looked up and there was a small piece of the car right next to me,” said Mike Roberts.
“(I) got out of my seat … and I saw the car sitting in the window.”
