What are the objectives and missions of the agricultural affairs club?
The Agricultural Business Club is devoted to “training the leaders of tomorrow in agriculture today”. Our mission is to provide students with the possibility of exploring careers in the agricultural industry through internships, job observation, full -time jobs and a mentoring program. We are a group of motivated individuals who strive to succeed in our career while encouraging professional and personal growth.
When and where the club meets?
The club takes its meetings on the campus, the general meetings taking place once a month on the third Thursday. In addition to these meetings, we organize a variety of other events throughout the semester. Members can find meetings of meetings and events on Instagram of the agricultural affairs club, @Agbusclubaisu.
What opportunities does the club have for students to get involved? Direction?
The agricultural affairs club offers many opportunities for the participation of students. Our management team, made up of 10 elected officers, leads the organization each year. In addition, we have 10 committees involving a committee president, a secretary and four to six other members. These committees provide and perform events such as industry visits, golf outings, leadership dinners and more.
What are the events, activities or fundraising of the club?
Throughout the semester, the club organizes a variety of events designed to connect students with industry professionals and improve their career preparation. These events include visits to industry, golf outings, leadership dinners and the pre-carrier mixer. Our events offer valuable networking opportunities, professional ideas and skills development to members.
Who can join the club? Are there any requirements?
Anyone can join the club! Although we mainly attract students who specialize in agricultural affairs, we also welcome individuals from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and other colleges interested in the field. The only requirement applies to those who request a management position – you must specialize in agricultural activity to be eligible.
What makes the Club des Affaires Agricoles fun and unique?
The agricultural activity club stands out from other clubs due to our concentration on professional development, leadership and industry links. We offer a variety of events, networking opportunities and mentoring programs that help students establish real relationships, acquire practical experience and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in agriculture. It is a place where students can learn, connect and have fun while preparing for their future.
Is there anything else you want to share on the club?
We consider ourselves the best club in the country, and it is not only the members who say this. The agricultural affairs club has a distinguished history of excellence, winning the prestigious price of the exceptional section of AAEA 19 times in the past 24 years. This recognition reflects our dedication to the success of students and leadership in the agricultural industry.
