Calgary police now say a An accident that occurred around 11:49 a.m. Tuesday evening on Stoney Trail Northwest, and resulted in the death of a 57 -year -old womanseems to have been a success.
In an update of the media on Wednesday afternoon, the SGT. Colin Foster of the Calgary police reconstruction unit said that a man in their twenties had been arrested and that the investigators had recovered a vehicle which, they said, was involved.
“That said – we are always open to the fact that it may not be the vehicle that was involved in the collision,” said Foster. “We are still looking for the assistance of the public and try to find a tractor trailer unit which will have a form of damage to the collision at the front and significant damage to the trailer.”

Foster said the truck would miss its “landing gear”, which is a normally located equipment under the truck trailer and used to maintain the semi-trailer level when it is won of its tractor.
Following the fatal accident, we saw investigators examining large equipment in the middle of the road on the crash scene which would be the attractive train of the involved semi-camion.

After the collision, we could see the police examining a large object in the middle of the road which seemed to be the landing gear of the involved truck.

Calgary police also provided more information on the death of women.
Foster said he thought that Toyota Corolla Blanche led by the victim, traveled in one of the tracks south of Stoney Trail in Nose Hill Drive and near the median, when she was struck by another vehicle – supposed to be the semi -camon which was not left at the scene of the accident.
Shortly after, a road truck arrived to note that the woman had been ejected from her vehicle which was turned on the road.
Calgary police said the first people on the scene of the accident found that the victim had been ejected from his vehicle which had been turned on the road.

While the police and firefighters arrived at the scene, another vehicle, a 2018 black van, driven by a 21 -year -old man with a 21 -year -old passenger, hit a post and cable barrier in the middle before running on the injured woman, then hit the back of the maintenance truck that stopped to help.
The woman was finally transported to the hospital but pronounced died on her arrival.
The two people in the van have not been injured – and investigators say that there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
Sgt. Colin Foster of the Calgary police reconstruction unit said that when a man was arrested as part of the accident, investigators want to make sure they have the vehicle involved.
