Calgary police said his homicide unit was investigating after a woman was found dead in a residential area in the south-east of Calgary on Friday evening.
According to the police, around 9 p.m., the police responded to information reporting a disturbance in a residence located in block 7600 of 23 Street SE, where they found a dead woman.
They say that a person was placed in police custody for interrogation.

Police think that the incident has been targeted and said that there is no danger to the public.
