Calgary police charged a man as part of three separate incidents related to sex involving adolescents.
According to police, the first incident involved a 15 -year -old child in March 2024. The investigators think that a man became friends with several teenagers in the Central Library and offered them drugs. Police said some of them had finally entered the man’s car.
After the departure of two of the friends, the police said that the man had led the victim to a northwest car park when he touched the victim inappropriately. The victim was deposited at his residence and reported the incident to the police from weeks later.
The second incident involved a 13 -year -old girl in the spring of 2024, police said.

They said that the victim told the police that a man had met her twice in downtown Calgary and that she had spent time in the hotel rooms with him. She said he had then touched her inappropriately.
During the investigation into this second case, the Calgary police mistreatment unit identified a third victim who was 15 years old when she was sexually assaulted in February 2024.
The police said that this victim had told the police that he had friendship with a man in downtown Calgary and that he took her to a neighboring hotel room and assaulted her sexually while offering it drugs.
The police announced on Friday that they had charged Abdulsatar Amad Luhar, 47, with three chiefs of sexual assault, three chiefs of sexual interference and a chief of obtaining a minor.
“These types of incidents are very worrying for the community, and I want to congratulate adolescents for their return to the police to report incidents that have occurred,” said the staff sergeant. Darren Smith of the CPS children’s mistreatment unit, said in a press release.
“There is no limitation period for the declaration of sexual offenses in Canada and we encourage anyone who has been the victim of a serious crime to report it, even if many years have passed since the incident. »»
