Cal Poly Humboldt joins a total of 1,192 current BFBS on a national scale, including everything, government agencies, fortune companies 500, museums, hotel establishments, bicycle stores and other employers, All united in a commitment to transform American work places to be more welcoming towards the two customers and employees who are cycling. Humboldt encourages bicycle as an easy alternative transport option adapted to the budget and provides equipment such as Humboldt Bikeshare. The program, a partnership with the city of Arcata, offers a practical and low cost method for the community to rent bikes. In addition, the university provides services via the Bicycle learning centerA toolbox managed by students and brain confidence for all bicycle needs.
“We strive to improve cyclists’ campus and educate and defend the safe use of bicycles as a form of affordable, healthy and lasting form of transport and leisure,” explains Morgan King, analyst of climate action . “And that seems to make a difference – we see a general increase in the use of bikes, leisure and travel.
