DANVILLE, Virginia, December 18, 2024–(BUSINESS FEED)–Caesars Entertainment celebrated the grand opening of its highly anticipated destination, Caesars Virginia, earlier today. The luxury resort opened its doors for the first time following a ceremony led by Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, Anthony Carano, President and COO of Caesars Entertainment, Barron Fuller, Regional President of Caesars Entertainment, Chris Albrecht, general manager of Caesars Virginia, and Michell, chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Hicks. The morning began with a parade of race cars and supercars provided by Virginia International Raceway, Kaizen Autosport and Foreign Cars Italia, weaving through the heart of Danville. Dennis Rodman, five-time NBA champion and “best rebounding forward in NBA history,” was the parade’s master of ceremonies. Rodman, Caesar, Cleopatra and Mayor Jones rode in the vehicles that stopped in front of the new complex for the opening ceremony. Following the grand opening, guests were welcomed into the new 587,000 square foot complex to wager for the first time. Rodman placed the ceremonial first bet in the new state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, wagering a five-step $100 parlay on the five teams he played for in the NBA to win their next game. The celebration ended with an impressive fireworks and drone show from Grucci.
