Each week during the school year, Naples Daily News selects athletes who stood out the previous week on the basis of a combination of coach reports and school appointments sent to sports@naplesnews.com and our coverage. These athletes are placed in a survey every Monday on Naplesnews.com and you, our readers, vote on who you think you did the best. The winners of the Naples Daily News Athlete Survey receive a t-shirt provided by BSN Sports and a tote bag provided by High School USA TODAY sports prices. To get to know our winners better, Naples Daily News will have a session of questions and answers with each athlete each week.

Question: What time did you enter athletics? What attracted you to sport?
Clark: I started to participate in athletics in eighth year. Being a bigger and stronger guy, I thought I could succeed in throwing.
How was it a significant impact this season with a podium in the state?
Clark: It feels good to have an impact this season. He was a dream of being so involved in such a successful program. Although I would have liked to have a better performance at State, I am grateful to be able to still have an impact on the team.
What is the most difficult thing to be an athletics athlete?
Clark: Facing failure is extremely difficult in this sport. At most of the meetings, the work of the week must bear fruit in just three or four throws so that it was, and when it does not take place in us, it can be very frustrating.
Is there an athlete of athletics that you admire or that you like to look?
Clark: I like to watch Joe Kovacs throw the weight throw. I often study his technique and try to reproduce it in my throws. I admire his dedication to his profession and the success he has experienced over the years.
If you didn’t do athletics or football, what sport do you play?
Clark: I would most likely play basketball. It is a sport in which I like to participate for pleasure, but if football and the track were not options, I would certainly appreciate playing basketball in a competitive way.
