Holly Springs, NC (WTVD) – Holly Springs officials are in the planning phase to bring an entertainment complex to Ting Park. Next week, officials will present an update of the Holly Springs Park and Recreation Advisory Committee.
Ting Park is a popular sports and entertainment center for Holly Springs families. There are rows of pickleball and tennis brokeers, shining cages, a playground, a stadium that hosts baseball matches and concerts and a football field.
The City wants to build restaurant and retail options in an unspeakable land of two acres of two acres next to the Ting stadium.
“Something that would allow people to do things while their children could be in training or games,” said Chris Hills, Director of Holly Springs development services.

Expansion could occur as the population soar. The latest census data shows more than 41,000 people live in Holly Springs, up 67% compared to 10 years ago.
“We want to make sure that people who live in Holly Springs have reasons to stay here and not leave the city, as well as to attract new residents and people come to town for a ball game,” said Hills.
Erin Déléfield grew up in Holly Springs and says that she remembers an era when there was not even a grocery store in town. She is now raising her own family there and said it would be wonderful to have food options in the park.
“There is a lot to do here. We love it. We come and watch the baseball matches. The children love it,” said Trawfield.
Officials hope to get public comments this summer and may open the supply process to developers in the fall.
