UK-based battery supplier Echion Technologies has teamed up with Australian company Switch Technologies to demonstrate its ultra-fast charging technology in a Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Series off-road vehicle.

UK-based battery supplier Echion Technologies has collaborated with the Perth-based company VE service company Switch Technologies to demonstrate its proprietary fast-charging active node materials technology in a Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Series off-road vehicle.

The companies collaborated for nine months to develop new XNO battery modules and packs to hybridize the Land Cruiser. They have now launched a comprehensive testing and validation program to quantify the benefits provided by XNO anode materials. batteries used in heavy industries.

XNO materials are based on proprietary mixed niobium oxide compositions and microparticle designs and enable lithium ion batteries safely fast charge in less than 10 minutesmaintain high energy densities even at extreme temperatures and deliver high power over a lifespan of over 10,000 cycles.
