The craze of pickleball is about to explode in Philadelphia with a new multi-sport social place that comes to Fishtown next month.
The sporting location of $ 7 million has the support of certain major investors, such as Tyrese Maxey from Philadelphia 76ers, the former Eagle Malcom Jenkins and the Pro of Tennis Sloane Stevens.
Although there are no tennis courts here, the fastest sport in the world could take its break here in Philly.
“Padel really takes a look. Many former tennis players are really obsessed with Padel,” said Amanda Potter, another Ballers co-founder. “It is a tennis and squash mashup with a touch of pickleball because the racket with which you hit is not a racket of strings.”
Ballers on battery open in mid-July and are open to everyone. You can rent a court for an hour or become a member for as little as $ 99 to access all of its amenities.
They have a smooth opening event on Friday at 7 p.m., tickets are $ 25.
