Ball State’s We Fly Fest to offer free visits to food, pleasure, entertainment and campus on June 7

Ball State University will welcome its first We fly fest From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday 7 June. This free event on campus is open to the public and will include visits to campus, entertainment, live music, information stands, games and other family activities.

“We Fly Fest is the last demonstration of our university’s commitment to promote solid links between our campus and the community,” said Ball’s President Geoffrey S. Mearns. “I am delighted to welcome our friends and neighbors to discover the best of what the state of ball has to offer.”

The event will start at Ball State Brown family amphitheaterWhere customers can enjoy games and activities, catering trucks, information tables and a live DJ.

Participants in the holidays can explore the campus through several self -guided tours or the bus visit to the student experience. Featured destinations on self -guided tours include the Dr Joe & Alice Rinard Orchid GreenhouseTHE Marilyn K. GLICK CENTER FOR GLASSTHE David Owsley Museum of Art,, Christy Woodsand the Environmental Education Center. The Student Experience Tour will highlight students’ accommodation, leisure, athletics, university buildings, etc.

In addition, the university Charles W. Brown Planetarium will offer three projections during We Fly Fest: A world, a sky: Big Bird’s adventure– a favorite among children – at 3.30 p.m. and two projections of the choice of staff program, We are starsat 5 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

The evening will end with a free concert with the Ball State Studio Band to the amphitheater of the Brown family from 7 p.m.

Parking
The parking lot is free in all campus car parks on weekends, but search for “free parking today” panels in front of the lots closest to the Brown amphitheater, such as the New York parking garage at 1001 N. New York Ave.

Community shuttle stop
The free shuttles on the campus take place from 4:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., there will be three pickup stops: in Muncie:

  • Buley center, 1111 N. Penn St.
  • Common market, 900 W 8th St.
  • Pop Shop, 904 e Willard St.
