High earth, ind. – Ball State Aath and Field went to Terre Haute on Saturday (March 29) for the Sacesetter Sports Invititational de l’Insiana State.

In a field of 10, the cardinals finished second as a team, collecting 108.5 points.

The cardinals had several best finish, closing the competition with four event victories and four other top three. Among the leaders of Ball State was Kenli nettles which finished third in long jump with an impressive better personal brand of 5.91 meters. Ball State Jumpers continued to impress both in the triple and height jump. Brenna Lehrke finished second in the triple jump, striking 11.61 meters and Malina Miller won the high jump after reaching a better brand of the season at 1.72 meters.

Opening of action on the track, the 4×100 meter relay team of Moriah Johnson,, ALANA Springer,, Jenna Oriani And Kylee Marshall obtained a first place after crossing the line in a time of 45.58.

Springer also took the first in the 200 meters (23.80), as well as the third at 100 meters after having executed a new better time of 11.66. Oriani finished just behind her in the 200, finding himself at 24.29.

For another Ball State victory, Emma Potter Brié with the victory in the 400 meters after finishing with a new personal record of 54.91.

The next Cardinals meeting is scheduled for Friday April 4 in Athens, Ohio for Cherry Blossom Invitational of the University of Ohio.
