Large fall, Wisconsin (Wbay) – Action 2 News had an overview of the Axon Road program in the Grand Fall Police Department on Tuesday, with the new technology that Axone has to offer.
Axon makes a traveling road show to give law organizations the opportunity to get hold of new tools and training equipment. Different law enforcement organizations welcome them and this year, the Grand Falling police had the opportunity.
Some technologies they have shown included a virtual reality taaser studio, allowing someone to train in life situations without incurring the cost of using a taser during their learning.
We have also seen a demonstration of a drone. Something that the Axon said said could be used to provide someone’s life vest of life in a RIP current or using thermal detection to find someone on a mountain, allowing the police to help obtain rescue equipment during a rescue.
Corporal Dylan Davis with the Grand Fall police already uses part of the technology and is delighted to learn other things available.
An Axon professional has demonstrated their new taser.
“What the laser 10 does is that it allows you to target specifically. I can target your legs, I could put one in each calf, and I have no problem with that,” said
Tuesday’s demonstration was just for law enforcement organizations and the media, to allow transparency and demonstration. The public was not invited.
