Aurora Health Care withdrew from Walgreens’ clinics in Wisconsin

Aurora Health Care will no longer exploit clinics in Wisconsin Walgreens stores from February 6.

Aurora was Operating clinics in Walgreens stores since 2017. The clinics are located in eight Walgreens locations, including five in the Milwaukee region, two in the Green Bay region and one in Oshkosh.

Clinics are presented as practical places So that patients receive basic care. Patients meet a clinician on video, while a team in person helps the patient’s examination, according to Aurora website. Clinics have one or two medical office assistants, as well as some other employees who help virtual care operations, according to a press release from Aurora.

In the press release, Aurora said that he was working with Walgreens to navigate the transition and would help employees by helping them find other roles in Aurora’s health care.

“This allows us to focus on additional means whose patients prefer to access care, when and where they need it, including enlarged virtual services which provide care in the comfort of their own house, as well as access Practice for urgent care and primary care in the community, “said the statement.

Previously known as QuickCare Clinicals, Aurora started operating clinics in Walgreens stores in 2017. Before moving to Walgreens, most of the Quickcare clinics in Aurora were located in Walmart superstores.
