Fort Lauderdale, Florida. – A Historical Monument from Fort Lauderdale receives a new lease on life with a musical touch.
THE FTL war memorialWhich is next to the Florida Panthers training center in Holiday Park, was transformed into a modern music and event place through a partnership between the Panthers and the city of Fort Lauderdale.
The place of 44,000 square feet is now part of a small-scale multi-purpose district and organizes concerts and shows, including the performance of this weekend of Country-Pop Niko Moon.
“Now, to have an entertainment hub in the middle of Fort Lauderdale in Holiday Park bringing together leisure and entertainment, it’s really unique. It is the first of its kind,” said Florida Panthers president Matt Caldwell.
The auditorium was originally built in 1950 and continued to have a historical meaning while offering modern equipment such as a advanced audio system, improved lighting and new artists’ rooms.
“You will see all the statues that each plaque which was here before has been maintained and highlighted so that when people come here, we want them to have fun and we also remember veterans who gave us these freedoms,” said Caldwell.
The 10 -year agreement of the site with Live Nation should win major musical acts in southern Florida. Artists such as the Driver era and Glorilla have already been reserved.
“It is at the forefront of art, a new audio system, a new lighting all the new room of the artists. We want people to come here and have a good time,” added Caldwell.
This weekend, Niko Moon will bring her beach and well-being sound to the newly altered scene.
“I have a motto, no sad songs. It’s only good vibrations. Each song,” Moon told Alexis Frazier of the local section. “I grew up by loving Jimmy Buffett and an artist like Kenny Chesney, so my very boiled music takes you to the water where I found my mind.”
But behind music is a deeper goal. A dollar from each ticket sold goes to Moon’s non -profit organization, The Happy Cowboy, which helps provide access to therapy to those who cannot afford it.
“I like to consider my programs as a bit of a getaway. Sometimes we have to press the break on the stress of life and we don’t have to go to Cabo to go to Vacay,” said Moon. “Put your Hawaiians and come and celebrate with me.”
