To celebrate the month of male health, Alabama State University Health Services, in partnership with 100 black men from Greater Montgomery, is proud to host a special community event dedicated to the promotion of health and well-being of men.
The event, open to all members of Hornet Nation and the surrounding community, will take place on Friday June 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Auditorium Vivian Deshields of Abernathy Hall on the ASU campus.
“This event aims to allow men to take care of their health and well-being,” said a representative of the Asu Health Services. “We are delighted to bring together resources that support physical, mental and financial well-being in an accessible space.”
Participants can expect a engaging and informative day featuring:
- Health and fitness sellers
- Financial well-being resources
- On -site medication elimination services for the safe and secure elimination of expired or unused drugs
- Free health projections, including blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol controls
- Special guest speakers leading a discussion on men’s health
