Spring films series
The Churchill Arts Council Spring Films series ends Friday evening with the third film by Wes Anderson, “Moonrise Kingdom” (2023) plays on April 18. Changing events in the world spectacularly disrupted the route of a Junior Stargazer / Space Cadet convention in an American desert city around 1955.
The film begins at 7 p.m. the box office, the art bar and the galleries open at 6 p.m.
Tickets are free for members and holders of seasonal tickets. For members, tickets cost $ 5 each. Tickets are available at the box office at the night of the projection or call the Churchill Arts Council at 775-423-1440.

WNC art display
An exhibition of students from Churchill County High School in various arts is open to visualization at the Fallon campus of Western Nevada College.
Entitled to whisper the art of the desert of Nevada, the exhibition mainly presents paintings and other creative pieces representing the unique culture of Nevada. The is available for public vision until April 21, followed by another exhibition featuring WNC students.
Thirty artists are involved in the Art Fair.
Greenwave Theater presents “Hamlet”
The Churchill County High School theater department presents the “Hamlet” of William Shakespeare May 1 at 4:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 1 p.m., admission tickets are $ 10 and children’s notes are $ 8 each. The second year student of the CCHS, Kingston Murray, plays the title role.

PACC Spring Musical
Churchill county’s county show present the successful musical of Broadway “Pump Boys and Dinette”.
The Complete Country Western musical presents Summer Stanton and Adia Finch sharing the role of Rhetta Cupp and Melissa Derby as a sister, prudie, singing and dancing at double Cupp Diner. Byron Sorensen, Jake Coval, Kenny Coval, Mick Penick and Tom Fleming play the talented pump boys from the service station next to it.
The projections are scheduled for Fallon Theater for April 25 and 26 and May 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. with mornings on April 26 and May 9 at 1 p.m.
Additional projections will also take place at the Auditorium of the Brasserie Arts in Carson City and at the Cultural Center in Yerington.

The sound of music
The Western Nevada Musical Theater Co., presents “The Sound of Music” in Carson City.

There will be seven performances: 9, 10, 16, 16, 16, 17 at 7:30 p.m. and May 11, 17 and 18 at 2 p.m. at Carson City Community Center.
