Conditions in cold weather through the province will remain for several days with an arctic high pressure ridge centered on the interior of British Columbia, according to world meteorologists in British Columbia.
Temperatures will be softer Friday afternoon and in the weekend, but will fall from a few degrees at the start of next week and for the rest of the week, while more Arctic air increases south , explained the chief meteorologist Mark Madryga.
Madryga said some Lower Mainland regions received snow late Wednesday afternoon and in the evening.
There was an accumulation of snow in mainly eastern cuts of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser valley, but no accumulation is expected.
