On Saturday, eight hundred secondary school students from 33 different schools put their scientific skills to the North Pocono high school.
County of Lackawanna, Pennsylvania – Hundreds of high school students put their scientific skills to the test County of Lackawanna.
On Saturday, 800 students from 33 Commonwealth high schools participated in this year’s scientific Olympiad at North Pocono secondary school, in the canton of Covington.
The students participated in 23 tests focused on biology, physics, chemistry, science and land and space engineering.
The organizers claim that these events promote teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking.
Marlie Derenzis, pupil of North Pocono High School Junior, says: “I really like it. It’s really great for the experience of managing these things, managing stress and pressure and learning to face it. “”
During the Olympiad of Sciences at North Pocono Secondary School, the students participated in the construction of towers and events involving robotics, legal medicine and much more.
