Annual conference of entertainment and sport announced

New Orleans (press release) – presented by the Law school at the University of Tulane And Tulane University Center for SportTHE 2025 Conference Tulane Entertainment & Sports LawNow in its 8th year, will take place on March 14 and 15. The conference is free and open to the public and will be held in John Giffen Weinmann Hall at the Tulane Law School located on the Uptown campus in Tulane.

This annual event brings together many of the most influential lawyers and leaders in entertainment and sport industries to discuss dynamic changes that reshape sports, media and entertainment. The conference is designed not only for experienced practitioners, but also for law and first cycle students, industry professionals and anyone looking to discover the most urgent problems of entertainment and sports.

The conference, which has become an unmissable event for lawyers, students and other professionals, should attract more than 200 participants discussing dynamic changes that warm sports, media and entertainment.

Over the years, the conference has welcomed leaders and lawyers from NFL, NBA and MLB, creative talents, including Jonathan Banks (Star of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul) and Anthony Zuiker (Creator of the CSI franchise), and the best lawyers of the main national sports practices like Winston & Strawn and Holland

He also had leaders of major studios like Amazon, ESPN, HBO, Netflix, Sony and Siriusxm speak during the event with artists such as Alicia Keys, Jason Sudeikis, Jordan Peele, Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Stevie Wonder, Prince and Bob Dylan.

The conference is directed each year by the organizing committee composed of Kevin Yorn (L ’90) – founding partner of the law firm of Yorn Levine Entertainment, Jeff Frost (L ’89) – President of the Bristol Circle law firm, Tim Francis (L ’84) – Advice, Cabinet of lawyers Sher Garner, with Professor Gabe Feldman, Sportive of Tulane, Share Garner Professor of Sports Law, and the program of the Shop-Garner law, and the co-fusion law program, the Share Garne Tulane Center for Sport law program.

The conference will cover a range of legal and commercial subjects in sport and entertainment, featuring industry leaders discussing high -level cases, negotiations and emerging trends. Panelists will discuss the legal and commercial challenges faced by athletes and artists, including contractual negotiations, brand offers and career strategies.

The House trial c. NCAA will be covered, including its potential to reshape university sports.

The general councils of the Kings of Sacramento, the Clippers, the Saints and the Pelicans of New Orleans and the Hawks Atlanta will discuss legal and commercial problems in team operations, in particular the development of stadiums, confidentiality of data, sponsorships and merchandise.

Legal challenges for the celebrities of list A, including contractual negotiations, defamation, resemblance of the name / image, and the evolution Hollywood landscape will also be covered. Legal experts will discuss problems of dispute and policy in university sports, in particular “name, image and resemblance” (Nile), the employment status of athletes and the implementing measures of the NCAA.

Studio leaders and representatives of Warner Bros, Hulu, Amazon Studios and others will engage in a negotiation simulation, providing an overview of the contractual terms and the leverage of the industry. And the leaders of the legal and business leader of Sony Pictures, Giant Music and the ELLA project will discuss streaming, licenses, live events and intellectual property challenges in the music industry.

There will be various sessions in small groups covering subjects such as contracts, sponsorships, mergers, entertainment IP, brand, AI compliance and regulatory changes shaping industry. Other sessions in small groups will see representatives of the NFL, NBA and MLB teams will discuss contractual negotiations, scouting, management of salary ceilings and team operations while others will cover Hollywood script, licenses and the transition of the right to creative work.

The general councils of the NFL and the FIFA World Cup ‘6 will discuss the logistical and regulatory challenges of reception of the main world sporting events while the senior executives of Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. will discuss how entertainment projects are developed, negotiated and put on the screen.

Panelists of Live Nation, Range Sports and other major organizations will discuss the representation of athletes and artists, media rights, sponsorships and commercial strategies. In addition, NBA, Premier League and electronic sports investors will discuss the financial, regulatory and commercial complexities in sports investments.
