Americans see meat as part of a healthy lifestyle
Meat sales reached a record summit of $ 104.6 billion in 2024. The books sold increased by 2.3% compared to 2023, and consumers, on average, the purchase of meat more than once a week.
This maintains the largest fresh grocery department meat.
The 20th Power of Meat annual report indicates that almost all American households (98%) buy meat and that 73% of Americans consider meat as a healthy choice.
It is important to obtain enough protein for 90%of Americans, and animal proteins, including eggs (83%), chicken (82%) and beef (76%), at the top of the food list that most consumers consider foods rich in protein.
