TOXEY, ALA. (WTOK)-REGAN Phillips is a sports-athlete student at the South Chochtaw Academy who approves and plays volleyball, basketball and softball.
It is involved in several extracurricular activities and helps community service in its church and its community.
Despite everything on her plate, she maintains a GPA of 3.9.
“I just had to push myself to be on time, then turn the assignments when I am supposed to do it and get ahead so that it can already be done. I really like to go ahead and do things, when he makes me do it, ”said Phillips.
Ask one of his coaches and they will tell you that Reagan is a natural born leader on the courts and on the ground.
“Reagan is among the girls, and she is in the middle that holds him together. You know, I cry, but she is in the middle of them scream. She knows the pieces. She knows the volleyball sets. She knows everything. So, to have this voice in the field, that makes a huge difference in everything, “said Reagan’s volleyball and basketball coach Whitley Robinson.
“She is just a natural leader. You know, she leads (and she) gives the example. When other players, when they spoil, she will pick them up and try to take his mind when we need them, “said Reagan’s softball coach Cole Floyd.
As impressive as it is on the courts and in the fields, Regan is just as impressive in the rooms and classrooms of the South Chochtaw Academy.
“It is so well balanced in all the areas that I have seen by students who are excellent athletes, simply excellent. I saw students coming who are excellent academics, then I saw excellent leaders, and during my 27 years of teaching, Reagan is among the first five of those who have it all, “said the Reagan teacher, Nina Butler, says.
Ask anyone who knows Reagan to describe her in the theme of her answers will be an altruistic leadership.
“She also helps young girls. It is simply not a question of university. It will help young classes when they come if they have problems with different positions or different skills sets, “added Floyd.
“When the match is broken, you see Reagan entering and picking it up. When a student walks on the campus framing, Reagan will be one of the first to come and tell him something and try to come and get him, “said Butler.
“I love being an example. If someone needs help, I would like them to come to me and I like them to have the impression that they shouldn’t have to worry about asking me anything because I’m always open to listening to everything they have to say, “said Phillips.
REGAN plans to frequent Coastal Alabama Community College after graduating in the spring, and she plans to continue a nursing diploma.
