Alexandria deploys the rainbow carpet this week with a crowded calendar of the celebrations of the month of pride, including the official event of Saturday Alexandria at the Town Hall and the Place du Marché, supplemented by the activities on the theme LGBTQ + in local libraries, a mystical promotion of pride in Torpedo Factory and a foot tour of the history of the LGBTQ.
Beyond the festivities of pride, residents can catch “the play that turns badly” at the Little Theater of Alexandria, enjoy live music from traditional Irish sessions with comedy evenings and participate in community events such as producer markets, yoga lessons and the return of Oktoberfest to Port City Brewing Company.
