The number of new confirmed measles cases made a big leap during the weekend, according to the province.

There is now a total of 265 confirmed cases of measles in Alberta – it is an increase of 55 cases since Friday.

The majority of cases are in the southern health zone, which includes the city of Lethbridge and the city of Taber, where Alberta Health has published several public warnings in recent weeks concerning potential exhibitions on measles.
