When the ball carrier AJ Dillon envisaged his options in the free agency, the opportunity to run behind the offensive line of the Eagles was a major draw which led him to sign with Philadelphia.
“If you are a football fan, you know the Eagles offensive line, and therefore I am really delighted to meet them first, then go out and compete with these guys, to run behind them, to win their confidence,” said Dillon. “I am enthusiastic about the opportunity that the Eagles have offered me, excited to be here, I know that philly fans are great.”
Dillon understands that he will not be the number 1 as long as he is a teammate with Saquon Barkley, but he is ready for all that the Eagles ask him to do.
“I’m just delighted to go there every time, to get the most out of each opportunity,” said Dillon.
Dillon, who has spent his entire career so far in Green Bay, has missed all 2024 with a neck injury. But he said all the medical assessments he had said that he would be ready to leave for 2025.
“I have all the green lights,” said Dillon. “I feel good.”
