Airbnb and Amb Sports and Entertainment (Ambse), a parent company of the Falcons of Atlanta of the NFL, Atlanta United of MLS and Mercedes Benz Stadium, announced today a first partnership of its kind to support the city of Atlanta to host visitors for major events and leading economic growth through Atlanta. The partnership comes as Atlanta is preparing to organize a certain number of world events in the years to come.
With Ambse, Airbnb will organize a series of community engagement initiatives which offer training and resources to empower current and potential hosts, as well as local entrepreneurs and small businesses, to capitalize on the status of Atlanta as a primary event destination. Today, the partnership launched the last episode of Airbnb academy– “Atlanta to unlock” – to educate local residents on the economic opportunities of accommodation during major events.
The Airbnb Academy aims to provide individuals from all communities with a way to entrepreneurship by becoming hosts on Airbnb. The Academy has operated in Atlanta since 2019, working with local partners such as the Russell innovation center for entrepreneurs (Rice), the NAACP, And The village market To provide individuals with the skills necessary to become a successful host on Airbnb and acquire a range of transferable skills.
