
The Association of Iowa of Business and Industry and Midwestone Bank announced today the winner of 2025 The coolest thing done in the Iowa competition: THE Cotton CP770Made by John Deere in Ankeny.
“The devoted employees of Moines Works have assembled cotton-cotton in Ankeny since 1950,” said Rosalind Fox, director of the John Deere factory, in a press release. “We innovate forever in the name of our customers, determined to deliver the most advanced cotton harvesting equipment in the world in their fields. Every day, our employees arrive with pride, wishing to serve our customers. This price belongs to all those who have contributed to the success of the CP770, from the concept to manufacturing, from assembly to delivery and to everything.
For this year’s competition, 69 products were nominated, representing manufacturers of 51 communities of Iowa. After a first public voting round and a head-to-face support tournament, four finalists competed for the title. More than 93,000 votes were expressed throughout the competition.

The CP770 uses less fuel and has a larger cabin than the previous models. It has a 13.6 -liter and 555 horsepower engine and transports 20 MPH with a 4.6 MPH higher harvest speed.
