Food Truck company based in Aurora 2 salt sargesIt is difficult to make things happen after his truck was stolen and then found destroyed.
Andrew Rogerson and Bobby Barden, longtime friends and veterans of the US military, founded 2 Salty Sarges almost three years ago, a food truck company dedicated to the delivery of delicious dishes, hot dogs Effiloche, in the metropolitan region of Denver.
But now the company is faced with difficulties after the flight of the truck they used to transport their food trailer on December 19. Rogerson and Barden submitted a police report and on December 26, the truck was found seriously damaged.
According to Rogerson and Barden, the truck was found with the broken windows. THE Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said the interior had been stripped, with the missing central console and radio. Rogerson and Barden said that the insurance company had judged that the truck had gone too far and paid a complaint, but the two men did not specify the amount.
Currently, Rogerson uses his own truck to tow the trailer, but the wear that causes it on his personal vehicle is far from ideal.
Rogerson and Barden are bringing back funds to buy a new truck for their business, but the cost of a diesel truck meeting the requirements of the trailer is high. Friends turned to Gofundme For help, after raising more than $ 2,300 Friday afternoon.
“We both hesitated to do so, but it turned out to be a lot,” said Rogerson. “I guess we have many more supporters than we thought.”
Even with Gofundme, Rogerson and Barden are still far from their goal.
“This is much more than the insurance company has paid,” said Rogerson. “Diesel truck, do the calculation. It’s a lot of money.
They did not provide the exact figure they are trying to reach, but GoFundme’s goal is set at $ 4,000. Rogerson and Barden do not intend to increase the total cost of a new truck via Gofundme.
In the meantime, 2 Salty Sarges will continue as usual with Rogerson’s personal truck until they can achieve their goal.
