EA SPORTS finally raised the cover in its next university football match, aptly named EA SPORTS College Football 26, in a trailer showing some of its new features.
The official trailer for EA Sports College Football 26 has announced that the CFB 26 match would include thousands of real academic players and more than 300 real world coaches, such as Dan Lanning, Kirby Smart and James Franklin, from the 136 FBS schools. The game has also added more than 2,700 new games, which, according to EA Sports, will do “authentic university football like never before”.
College Football 26 has reorganized its stadium pulse system with new challenges based on crowds such as clock distortion and screen in rivalry and playoff games. It also includes a new online progression format in Road to the College Football Playoff, and of course the return of the Ultimate University Football team.
The series started in 1993 with the release of Bill Walsh College Football on the Sega Genesis, and took place continuously with annual outings until 2013, generally under the name of NCAA Football. The NCAA chose not to renew its contract with EA in 2013 after a legal dispute with the company on the use of players’ similarities, leading to a 11 year old break This was broken last year with the release of EA Sports College Football 25, which included Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter and Donovan Edwards as covers.
The game should be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S on July 10, 2025, with three -day early access for players who buy it with the next Madden NFL 26.
