A woman from the first nation Mînî Thnî (formerly Morley) was found guilty of weakened faculties causing death in the murder of a motorcyclist along the 1A motorway near Morley Road in Cochane in August 2022.
The trial for Dierdre Snow, 31, took place in front of a jury this week in the Banc de la Court des Rois in Calgary.
The snow faced five accusations linked to weakened faculty driving causing death and bodily injuries and public misdeeds, but four of the accusations were rejected and the jury was not invited to deliberate only on an accusation of conduct with weakened faculty causing death.
The 53 -year -old Canadian forces veteran Samantha Wylie de Fort Saskatchewan, was killed in the accident.
While Snow had admitted to having been altered, she insisted that she did not drive and had maintained her innocence, despite an apparent The confession at the RCMP, recorded eight months after the accident and concluded evidence during the trial.

By suffocating tears, his daughter, Haley Perrault, said: “It was very long to come, but I am so grateful for their time and their efforts and the vocals with which they returned.
“I have the impression that a sigh of relief finally left my body after what looks like an eternity and I can finally breathe,” said Perrault. “And we can continue.”
The snow was released on bail until it is convicted, which, according to the defense lawyer, Dale Fedorchuk may not occur for several months.
