President-elect Donald Trump took the stage at his rally in Washington on Sunday, less than a day before he is sworn in as president.

Trump remained consistent with the framework he often used in his campaign, criticizing Biden’s term as a “failed administration” and promising to “end the rule of a failed and corrupt political establishment.”

“Tomorrow, at noon, the curtain rises on four long years of American decline and we begin a brand new day of American strength and prosperity, dignity and pride,” he told his supporters.
Trump took credit for the release of the first Gaza hostages, rebuffing Biden, who also took credit for the deal.
“We accomplished more without being president than they accomplished in four years,” Trump said, dwelling on the moment.
“Starting today, TikTok is back,” Trump also said to loud applause. Trump has credited TikTok with helping him perform much better with young voters than Republicans have historically.
“Frankly, we have no choice. We must save him. Lots of jobs. We do not want to entrust our activities to China. We do not want to entrust our business to other people.
Trump suggested he would use his influence to seek a joint venture in which the U.S. government would own half the company without investing any money.
“So whether you like TikTok or not, we’re going to make a lot of money,” Trump said.
Trump repeated many of his campaign lines on immigration, including the baseless claim that foreign governments are “dumping” their jails, prisons or mental institutions to the United States.
He said the press criticized him during the campaign for repeatedly bringing up the fictional character Hannibal Lecter, but suggested that some of the immigrants living in the United States “are probably worse.”
The crowd applauded as he teased plans for mass deportation, without going into detail.
Trump concluded his hour-long speech with a performance by the Village People, who sang “YMCA,” the anthem that closed nearly all of Trump’s campaign rallies. He was swaying on stage, bobbing his head and singing along as they played.
