Ontario’s police watchdog says it is investigating after a police officer fatally shot a man in Camden East Friday evening.
The Special Investigations Unit says provincial police were called to a residence in the community outside of Napanee around 5 p.m. to reports of a disturbance.

The agency says officers attempted to speak with a man who came out of the house with a “bladed weapon.”
They say two police officers shot the man with riot weapons and a third shot him with a gun.
The man was seriously injured and was taken to hospital.
The SIU is an independent agency that is automatically called upon to investigate reports of injuries, deaths or allegations of sexual assault involving police.
