There will be no pre-inauguration tour of the vice president’s residence for the new Vance family, two sources familiar with JD Vance’s plans told CNN, who noted that he had not received any invitation to the residence of its current occupant, Vice President Kamala Harris.

There were, however, exchanges between Vance and Harris’ staff. A person familiar with the vice president’s schedule told CNN that the Vance family had a call with the Navy installations team that runs the Naval Observatory around Christmas to “discuss the layout of residency, logistics and practicalities of moving in, and to help answer any questions.” questions the Vances had regarding the Residence.
