Prospect Medical Holding, owner of Crozer Health in Delaware County, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (WPVI) — Prospect Medical Holdings, owner of Crozer Health in Delaware County, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The company said its facilities will remain open while it works to sell its hospitals.
This includes Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Chester and Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.
State and county leaders said today they are doing everything they can to ensure residents have access to quality health care.
“This is not just a financial issue, it is also a public health crisis. Prospect Medical Holdings has systematically stripped resources from its facilities, prioritized profits over patient care, and let our communities bear the consequences,” said Pennsylvania State Senator Tim. Kearney (D).
The Attorney General of Pennsylvania filed a complaint against Prospect in October, denouncing mismanagement and negligence.
