FRANKFURT, Ky. (WBKO) – Nitto, a global developer of advanced technologies and provider of products and services to the automotive, electronics, aerospace and other industries, will open a new facility in Frankfort.
Governor Andy Beshear made the announcement today. The facility is expected to create 220 full-time jobs.
“The economic momentum Kentucky is experiencing is a direct result of the tremendous growth in our largest and most vital industries, and manufacturing, automotive and aerospace are at the center of that growth,” the governor said Beshear in a statement. “We continue to see quality companies like Nitto grow to meet growing customer demand, and that is a recipe for long-term success for our economy. I want to thank Nitto leadership for this new investment and look forward to their continued growth in our state.”
“Nitto is excited to expand into the capital and welcome our team to the region in 2025,” said Yukihiro Horikawa, president of Nitto Inc. in a statement. “The access to our customers is unparalleled in the Bluegrass region. We are excited about the community and excited to invest in Frankfurt.
The manufacturer was founded in Japan in 1918. According to the release, the company aims to create products and services that contribute positively to the environment and humanity. Nitto employs more than 27,000 people worldwide.
The Frankfort facility will be located at 120 Fortune Drive in Franklin County Industrial Park 3. The facility will open for full-scale production in spring 2025, according to the release.
