RCMP are investigating an unusual cash seizure at a bank in NanaimoBC
It happened around 1:45 p.m. Friday at the BMO branch at 6908 Island Highway North.
Mounties said the customer was in the process of receiving the undisclosed amount of money from a bank teller when a man waiting in line grabbed the money and fled.
Neither the customer nor the bank teller were injured, police said. The suspect made no threats and did not pull out a weapon, RCMP added.
The suspect is described as a six-foot-three man who was wearing dark clothing, sunglasses and a black COVID mask.
He was accompanied by a woman wearing gray sweatpants and white sneakers.

The two men may have left in a dark-colored van.
