Industry experts have likened the internet service – carried out by the China Environment for Network Innovations (CENI), a national research center linking the country’s biggest cities – to a “bullet train for computers”.
According to Xinhua Daily, the CENI service is based on an innovative network architecture that combines the strengths of optical communication technology and deterministic networks to provide fast, reliable and high-capacity data services.
By integrating the high-speed transmission capabilities of optical communications with the low latency and high reliability of deterministic networks, CENI has enabled efficient and stable data transfer, the statement said.
“CENI achieved zero packet loss, with jitter delay less than 20 microseconds, even under full network load, covering 13 provinces, 13,000 km (8,080 miles) and managing 10,000 deterministic services,” Liu said Yunjie, chief scientist of the laboratory and member. from the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
