BALTIMORE – Just in time for your New Year’s resolutions, a new gym is opening in Baltimore County.

WJZ reporter Miana Massey spoke with a Baltimore native whose mission is to combine physical fitness and mental wellness to help others thrive.

Arthur Lewis Jr., also known as King Arthur, is a wizard from Harlem who is making waves on and off the basketball court. But the journey that led him to where he is today wasn’t always easy.

“I survived my mental health and hit rock bottom. A lot of people don’t get over it,” Lewis said. “…but you see, I’m here today, in Happyville.”

Today, Lewis is dedicated to improving the community through his non-profit organization, Team of We Happyville.

On Saturday, he opened Free Sweat Gym in Windsor Mill to promote mental health and fitness awareness.

“I walked out on faith and am now the owner of Free Sweat.” “We combine mental health and fitness to help people become better at every level: mental, physical, spiritual, emotional and financial.”

Now open, Free Sweat Gym is located at 1718 Belmont Ave Baltimore, Maryland.
