Choosing who you trust with your health is an important decision. Although finding the right doctor can be difficult, at VCU Health we are proud to share that more than 240 of our team members have been recognized for their high-quality work across 87 specialties.
Virginia Business has published its 2025 edition of “Top Doctors of Virginia”. The list includes a total of 1,423 providers nominated by their peers last year. Two doctors, Keyur ShahMD, head of the heart failure department at VCU Health Pauley Heart CenterAnd Catherine HollowayMD, director of VCU Health’s Deep Brain Stimulation Programwere featured on the cover of the magazine for this year’s list.
With several top medical and health sciences schools in the Commonwealth, competition is stiff for statewide recognition. This year, Virginia Business added 27 new specialties to the list, including 18 new categories for pediatrics such as pediatric hematology-oncology, pediatric neurology, and pediatric critical care medicine, to name a few . It comes like Richmond Children’s Hospital at VCU continues to expand access to high-quality care for our youngest patients across Children’s toura 16-story, state-of-the-art facility that spans an entire city block in downtown Richmond.
