It took just two months, a few lifestyle changes and smart supplement use for six women to turn back their biological clocks by an average of 4.6 years.

The women, aged 46 to 65, participated in a study published in the journal Aging.

They followed a specially designed diet as part of their eight-week lifestyle program, aimed at affecting the activity and behavior of their genes in a way that affects aging.

Women ate the following foods daily:

  • 2 cups of cruciferous vegetables

  • 3 cups of colorful vegetables

  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds

  • 1 to 2 beets

  • Liver or liver supplement (three 3-ounce (85-gram) servings per week)

  • 1 serving of egg (5-10 per week)
