An outstanding control forest fire Burning near the village of Lytton, British Columbia, prompted the regional district of Thompson-Nicola to declare the local emergency for the region of the Blue Country and issues evacuation orders and alerts.
The district issued an evacuation prescription for two properties on Spencer Road South which are in the immediate vicinity of the flames just to the west of the village.
The alert was issued by the Lytton First Nation for several properties.
The burning Nikaia Creek fire on the other side of the Lytton river is around 5.73 hectares. BC Wildfire Service was alerted from the fire on Monday evening and sent crews to work overnight.
“The crews are seeing a very good success. They establish wet lines on the north and the southern flank and hope to see continuous success today,” Taylor Shantz-Serwart on Tuesday with BC Wildfire Service.
Forest fire is suspected of being caused by man.

The Lytton ferry remains active.
This last forest fire marked the fourth anniversary of the fire that destroyed Lytton and cost two people’s lives.

In the meantime, A forest fire near the village of ChaseBritish Columbia, was still measured at 35 hectares on Monday evening, however, it remains out of control.
“A unit team – therefore 22 staff members – stayed on this fire overnight and was supported by two night vision helicopters,” said Shantz -Stewart. “Once again, see a very good success, which testifies to our crews and their hard work.”
The Indian group of Neskonlith said CFJC News The fire near the group’s office on the leader Neskonlith Drive is “spread quickly”, and he asks residents to present themselves to Adams Lake Conference Center in Chase.
The fire chase is also classified as out of control and is suspected of being caused by humans.
