Sean “Diddy” Combs “ The lawyer portrayed the hip-hop magnate on Friday as the victim of too zealous prosecution who transformed his consumption of recreational drugs and his swingers lifestyle into a Racket conspiracy This could put it behind bars for life.
In a closing argument, defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo made fun of the government’s case and lowered the agents who seized hundreds of bottles of lubricant and astroglide baby oil to its properties when it was starting a presentation that should last several hours.
“Well to go, guys,” said Agnifilo about agents.
The lawyer said the prosecutors had “strongly exaggerated” evidence of the lifestyle of swingers and the three to combine it with the consumption of recreational drugs and call it a racketeering plot.
“He did not do the things he is accused of. He did not make a racketeering and sex trafficking,” said the lawyer.
Agnifilo also described the pursuit of “false trials” combs and ridiculed the idea that he was engaged in racketeering.
“Are you kidding?” Do you laugh at me? Asked Agnifilo. “Did a witness go up on this witness position and said yes, I was part of a racketeering company-I got involved in racketeering?”
No, said Agnifilo, telling the jurors that these accusations were a fruit of the imagination of the accusation.

All his life Combs has taken care of people, said Agnifilo, including the ex-girlfriend who testified under the pseudonym Jane, whose rent he pays.
“I don’t know what Jane is doing today,” said Agnifilo. “But she does it in a house he pays.”
Referring to the lawsuits deposited by the accusers of Combres, he said: “It is not a matter of crime. It is a question of money. It is the money.”
Agnifilo noted that the former longtime girlfriend of Combs, the R&B singer Cassie VenturaThe continued in November 2023. Combs settled with it the next day for $ 20 million, but the allegations of the trial prompted the federal police to open the criminal investigation which led to its arrest.
“If you were to choose a winner in all of this, it is difficult not to choose Cassie,” said Agnifilo.
Ventura and Jane both said during the test that they had been forced several times by combs to perform in sexual marathons of several days supplied by drugs with male workers while Combs looked, directed, masturbates and sometimes filmed the meetings.
Prosecutors, he argued, invaded the most intimate personal business.
“Where is the crime scene? This is your sex life,” said Agnifilo.
He also made fun of the assertion of the accusation that Combs and his subordinates were engaged in hundreds of racketeering acts and their suggestion that many of his so-called freak-offs and “hotel nights” were crimes.
If this is the case, he said: “We need a bigger crime scene roller”, a reference to a famous line of the film Jaws.
Agnifilo reiterated that the defense “owns” the fact that Combs was violent, but it argued that the behavior does not justify the serious loads with which it is confronted.
He said that Combs and Ventura had a “loving and beautiful relationship”, although “complicated”.
“If the conspiracy in racketeers had a opposite, it would be their relationship … They were deeply in love with each other,” said Agnifilo.
Resonate The closing argument on ThursdayDefense lawyer has shown that jurors were one of the images of now infamous security cameras of Attack Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
Agnifilo admitted that video clearly shows domestic violence, but he challenged the theory of accusation that the assault was proof of sexual trafficking by force. Having the band several times, he insisted, Combs was perhaps angry not that Ventura was trying to flee a “freak-off”, but that she took her mobile phone.
If he is found guilty, Combs could risk a compulsory minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life.
He did not testify during the trial, which is his seventh week.
Once Agnifilo finished his fence, the assistant American prosecutor Maurene Comey had to present a summary of refutation before the judge read the law to the jury, which should not start the deliberations until Monday.
