This week’s new scientists started with an amazing First look at images Caught by the newly operational Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile. Boasting The largest digital camera in the worldThe first photo of Rubin of the night sky included 10 million galaxies in and around the virgo cluster, many of which have never been seen before.

The observatory, which will become fully operational by the end of 2025, promises to collect more data than all other existing optical observatories combined in its first year only, representatives said in a statement. It is to be hoped that this data will allow scientists to discover the locations of previously invisible asteroids and to acquire new information on the properties of dark matter and dark energy, among others.

The 68-year-old man in the French overseas region of Guadeloupe became a subject of medical interest in 2011 after routine blood tests were unable to identify his blood group or any compatible correspondence. About a decade later, and after two years of detailed sequencing of the genome, it was confirmed that the woman wore a blood group previously unknown thanks to a unique genetic mutation.

We do not know how many other people carry this mutation, if necessary, but as it stands, the patient is the only person in the world with a blood group compatible with his.

Queen Hatepsut Régé was Pharaoh between 1473 and 1458 BC and, until recently, it was thought that after his death, his nephew and his successor broke all his statues to erase it from public memory. However, new research suggests that this may not have been the case.

The researchers now say that, although the statues of Hatshepsut are indeed intentionally broken, it was not to erase its existence. We rather think that its statues have been broken to “deactivate” their supposed supernatural powers.

In November, the orcas off the Washington coast brought back a bizarre trend that had not been reported since the 1980s: Balance the dead salmon on the head. Now the same Pod Orca has been filmed Give yourself “massages” with algaeBehavior that has never been reported before.

The images show that the orcas breaking the sections of Kelp of Taurus (Nereocystis Luetkeana), pressing the stems against the body of another orca and rolling the Varech between their body, in what seems to be a newly described grooming ritual.

Researchers believe that this is the first example of manufacturing tools by marine mammals, the first known tool used in wild animals that benefits two individuals at a time, and the first time non -human animals have been observed handling a tool with the heart of their bodies, rather than an appendix.

The mysterious models on Mars, extending up to 12 miles (20 kilometers), were closely photographed for the first time. Spider -shaped structures, known as “boxwork”, are made up of growing rocks rich in minerals which, according to scientists, may have been left by the old groundwater on the red planet.

Web structures were photographed by NasaCuriosity Rover, and scientists hope that studying them could reveal more about the aqueous past of Mars and provide clues to the question of whether the planet has nourished life.
