Two veterans paved the way on Thursday evening to keep the perfect seasonal bombers.
Zach Collaros experienced four affected in total, launching for three and rushing for one, while Nic Demski caught two passed passes while the bombers moved to 3-0 this season with a 36-23 victory against the EDMONTON Elks in front of the seventh closed windows consecutive to the Princess Auto Stadium.
It was the 13th consecutive Bombers victory against the Elks dating back to the 2018 season.
“It was good to get a victory,” said Collaros. “None of them is easy. I know that we can do a better job first and make the second more reasonable. But I thought we had executed when it counted there.”
Edmonton falls at 0-3 on the countryside.
DEMSKI was a match decision before Thursday, but you could not fight with an ankle injury when he picked up 97 yards receiving five captures after only receiving their last match.
“It’s about bouncing for this team,” said Demski. “I thought Zach put me in an excellent position to go there and play games. I thought Jason (Hogan) put me in a good position to play games and it worked. ”
DEMSKI has now affected four of the season, which is the first among the LCF receivers, and he has now taken a pass in 74 consecutive games.
Collaros launched over 200 meters in the first half and finished with 334 yards without interception.
“I thought he was there and delivered,” said head coach Mike O’Shea. “Made good decisions and thought that the receivers had done a good job to be adapted to the quarter-arre and work for him.

“I think what is coherent is that he is always really, really good. As with time, his job says he will win you a lot of games, he will win a lot of games, he will win a lot of records. He is always really good.”

“Zach has been composed today,” said Demski. “It was hot all day. That’s why I like to play with him. “
For Collaros, it was only his third hit in the past 10 years.
“If my security of the ball was poor, it was because I haven’t run the ball like that for a while,” said Collaros. “So I was able to do a better job of course, but yes, each time we get four meters, we will mark a touch.”

Collaros passed Kenny Ploen for the most past fourth yards in the history of the franchise behind Kevin Glenn, Khari Jones and Dieter Brock.
The match was equal to 23 to three -quarters, but the bombers scored 13 points in fourth to win the victory.
“I think we have just controlled the melee line,” said Demski. “Our line O (offensive line) makes such a good job and of course, it is the rock, they are the foundation of our attack, so we followed their example. Of course, we will go there and play games, but in the end, when they control the melee line, I mean, it flows much easier for us.”
The Bombers managed to contain the quarter-Arrière of the Elks Tre Ford which had only one rush for six yards all the match.
“Happy with that,” said O’Shea. “When he runs, I thought our guys were pursuing very intelligently.”
Faced with his former team for the first time since his signature with Edmonton during the dead, Tyrell Ford had only two defensive plated for the Elks in defeat.
The bombers abandoned the first hit in the match while they were hanging out for the first time all the season, but they responded at the end of the first quarter with a major of eight yards Demski.
In the second quarter, Collaros connected with Keric Wheatfall and Demski for two long affected by 52 and 60 yards, respectively, and the Bombers took a 23-13 lead at halftime.
The bombers would abandon the next 10 points from the match to the third quarter while the Elks sharpened things in front of the fourth, but after a guardian from Sergio Castillo, put the bombers, Collaros used his legs, withdrew for a touch of 13 yards to give blue and gold a certain place of rigor.
With Brady Oliveira out of alignment for the second consecutive match, the bombers did not have much precipitated attack during the first three quarters. But Matthew Peterson succeeded in several key points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory and finished with 65 yards on the ground.
Winnipeg will hit the road for his next match as they visit the Calgary Stampeders on Thursday July 3 with a kick -off shortly after 8 p.m.
