The controversial of the liberal government Bill on the main projects became the law after receiving Royal Assent on Thursday.

Bill C-5, which also reduces federal obstacles to internal trade, was adopted by the Senate Earlier Thursday without modification after a quick examination.

Carney declared that the bill required an indigenous consultation, including in the Office of major projects, its government will be set up to supervise the approvals of so -called “national construction” projects.

The Prime Minister said last week He intends to hold a series of forums with owners of indigenous rights and managers this summer about the legislation and the process he describes.

Carney said the Arctic ports, critical minerals and supply chain infrastructure, energy projects and telecommunications and artificial intelligence networks are among the projects that the government will consider major projects.

The legislation was introduced Wednesday in the upper chamber after the bill was accelerated by the House of Commons.

The bill was divided into two separate votes in the House of Commons, the Liberals and the Conservatives supporting the main part of the projects, while the Green Party leader, Elizabeth, may approve the internal commercial part.

The House of Commons has also increased for the summer after adopting the legislation.

Parliament should now return in September.
